Shadow Tender is a collaborative performance project & teaching methodology. We combine physical theatre, wearable sculpture, and technology to externalize aspects of ourselves that we fear and repress in order to foster dialogue and integration.
Created by artists, dancers, fighters, immigrants, scientists, and researchers, Shadow Tender is our response to the growing trend of dehumanization and demonization that we see unfolding in numerous spheres of our lives.
Shadow Tender is a love letter to the most frightening parts of our beings. It is an invitation to untangle twisted muscle and locked joints - to transmute a struggle for dominance into a tender embrace.
